As part of the exhibition There is always a machine between us…, SF Camerawork hosted a curated YouTube Channel featuring online-accessible video works by international artists. Additionally, the public was invited to add additional videos to the Camerawork playlist, upload their own content, or link a playlist of videos to the page. This channel was also permanently on display (projected from an accessible computer) in the Camerawork galleries during the exhibition’s run.

Aware of the number of emerging and established artists that utilize the net as a way of circulating and displaying their artwork, Camerawork also launched a competition and handed out cash-prizes to artists who uploaded or attached their work to our channel. Included in the mix were Chris Vargas & Greg Youmans, whose series ‘Falling in Love with Chris & Greg‘ won Best Episodic Work and would later be included as part of my next co-curated exhibition for Camerawork, Suggestions of a Life Being Lived.
